Hope’s Source

Hard times come, and people implode

But the love of God will sustain,

Like sinking sands, faith can erode

But the sun will outshine the rain.

Fear and doubt, spout terrible woes

Though peace is a reachable fact,

Crumbling dreams, from deep darkness flow

But hope is the truth we transact.

For the strains of this life may thicken

Though wisdom will chart a new course,

The weight of need causes friction

But grace is the crux of hope’s source.

For a trip to the cross is met

With waves of His merciful mist,

Dismissing our faults ad our debt

By the Son of God, we’ve been kissed.
